Round Up: ”Signal Boost”

“Signal Boost”
November 11, 2025
Wow, Cartober was pretty successful! Thanks to the 17 (!) folks that have car donations in progress. Sometimes vehicles take a while to go through the donation and sales process, but regardless of how much revenue KWMR gets out of the deal, you get rid of your vehicle! Every cent we raise is beloved to KWMR. Learn more HERE.
Many years ago, when Mia Johnson-Martinez commuted from San Rafael, she took the West Marin Stagecoach. One day a KWMR programmer was asking about how to donate her car and I asked her if she might be interested in selling her car to Mia so she could have wheels. She did, and when Mia was ready to upgrade, she donated the car to KWMR.
Jeff Wilkinson, host of both “Saturday Night Function” and “Cruisin’” finds himself currently without a vehicle. He is stranded and not able to get to KWMR to do his shows without getting a ride. Jeff does not live on a convenient transit route. I’m wondering if anyone out there has a rig that runs to sell to Jeff so he can get to KWMR to do his beloved radio shows. Let me know and I will connect you with Jeff.
Once again, it’s a busy week!
- I will give a talk as part of the Beacon of Light series at St. Columba’s this Thursday at 7 PM. Free event, everyone is welcome.
- Friday, I am meeting up with Liberacha before she goes LIVE on KWMR for “Happy Hour” this week. Ooh la la!
- Saturday we are heading to Griffo Distillery for the “Feed the Frequency” event with The Space Orchestra. Get your tickets HERE. Listen to the archive of “The Monday Mix” to hear all about The Space Orchestra.
Meanwhile, progress is being made on the new Tomales Booster (see below).
And we are almost to our goal of 300 people signing up for KWMR’s Emergency Text alerts. We just need 14 people to meet this goal, so if you have not signed up yet, do so HERE. Remember, you will only get texts when we are announcing information over the airwaves. Learn more about this great new product.
Another gullywasher is coming our way this week. Batten down the hatches and “cover the wood pile,” as Jerry Lunsford used to say.
Thank you for your support!
