The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported that the storms in January consisted of nine different atmospheric rivers. We have had more since then. Reservoirs are full to the brim. I guess we should be more specific in our “wishes for rain.” And today was a doozie. We all hope that everyone is doing ok. You may notice that KWMR is striving to get all of our emergency information and road closure information out in both Spanish and English. Big props to the KWMR team for stepping up.

KWMR is getting prepped and warmed up for our Spring Pledge Drive that will kick off on Thursday, March 23rd and will on April 6th. Fourteen days in order to give many of our bi-weekly programs the chance to hit the airwaves during the drive. Be sure to tune in for some extra special programming during the drive.

And Jeff Manson is producing a poetry night at the Western Saloon from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, April 4. It’s going to be great. We were so inspired by the success of the live broadcast of Burns Night! You can show up, or tune in!

The theme of this pledge drive is verse, poetry, the spoken and written word. Stay tuned for some rhyming!

If you would like to show your appreciation for specific shows early, consider doing a Challenge Grant of $100 on the show(s) that you love! If you fill out THIS FORM, our esteemed Development Director Alyssa Tanner will get back to you. It sure makes our volunteer programmers heart’s sing when folks do this.

We will have all the juicy details next Tuesday including our selection of Pledge Drive Premiums!

And now 33.34% of the KWMR staff have had a tree fall on their home. Hang in there folks. I really don’t have much more to say other than my rain gear was an excellent investment.
