“What Day Is It?”

What Day Is It?

Last week I had to send an email to verify whether there was a training on the 15th. It was on my calendar but I had a hunch that it was wrong. I was correct in assuming the wrongness of the appointment (it was last month on the 15th). The good news was that I did attend last month and the even better news is that finally this year I got my calendars to sync up between my various devices. This is great especially now that some things are live and other virtual. I did miss a meeting last week, and guess why…. I didn’t put it on my calendar.

I was late to attending to something that I had committed to since I got distracted by another task. I did remember, and was able to dash out and get it done. Once again, not on my calendar. I even have a little sound that my phone makes ten minutes before an appointment to remind me. The calendar is a tool that I think I will be needing more and more as the years go on.

And even though I have a good calendar on my desktop computer at work, another on my phone, and one on my laptop, I am ALWAYS referring to my little magnetized KWMR Calendar Club calendar. I mean, ALWAYS.

What I really like about these calendars is that they are small, easy to read, and include both the previous and the next month below the current month. So handy when planning things, although I’m still not 100% sure why I screwed up the meeting on the 15th. And if you are one of the many Calendar Club members your 2023 Calendars are on their way! If you would like to becoming a sustaining member of KWMR, you can click HERE and we will send you a calendar, too!

I got some feedback at some of the events that KWMR tabled at this year that Calendar Club members are seeking even more than just a calendar and a monthly drawing for a fabulous gift basket. We are working on some fun ideas, so stand by.

And speaking of monthly winners, Cicely Muldoon was chosen randomly from the entire list of Calendar Club donors and will get a fabulous gift basket!

Another great way to support KWMR is by donating your car, boat, truck, etc. that you are no longer driving to KWMR. It is easy peasy to do and it doesn’t even have to run. You just need to have the title. For more information click HERE.

And today is the 20th of the month (I just checked) and that is the day that the KWMR Calendar Club donations flow in to KWMR, from so many of you. Many hands making for light work, but the sustainable, monthly funding that is provided by all of you makes a huge difference to your local radio station.

I speak for all of us here at KWMR in wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
