On Saturday, July 23rd and Sunday, July 24 the tiny gallery where Marty Knapp sells his photographs (11245 State Route One) was hopping! There was a big sale of Marty’s work and half the proceeds were split between KWMR and West Marin Senior Services.
Marty approached KWMR with this concept several months ago. It sounded like a good idea and we figured that WMSS Executive Director Skip Shwartz would be game for a collaborative effort, and he was. In fact, we decided that it was such a good idea that we would incorporate both the art sale AND the collaboration with West Marin Senior Services into our summer mailing project.
And it is true that “many hands make light work!” It has been fun to collaborate and work together with the fine folks at WMSS on this endeavor. This idea of Marty’s allows him to contribute to both non-profits and you can hop on the bandwagon.
