Saturday, February 6

7 am “Morning Glory.” Bay Area composer John Partridge will join KWMR host Gregory DeMascio.

 

10 am “The Place We Live” with host Marc Matheson, features guests Rebecca Foust, writer, poet, mother, and advocate for families living with Asperger's syndrome; and poet and painter Jon Langdon, who has also worked as a boatwright, furniture designer and maker, carpenter, and building contractor.

 

11 am “ViewPoint.” Classically trained musician Suzy Thompson has been a significant part of the Bay Area music scene since the mid 70’s and has explored a variety of musical styles from Klezmer to Bluegrass to old time blues and Cajun. She, along with her husband Eric Thomson will be part of the KWMR Sweethearts of the Radio lineup on February 13. Meet the interesting woman behind the music

1 pm “Post Carbon.” Bing Gong and Bernie Stephan speak with Richard Heinberg, Peak Oil educator, discussing his new book, Searching for a Miracle: "Net Energy" Limits & the Fate of Industrial Society.

11 am “Questing: Where is the Path?” Jane Austin as "the undead"?! Author Michael Thomas Ford will join in conversation with co-hosts Mimi Calpestri and Jane Mickelson. They will discuss his latest novel, Jane Bites Back, a humorous send-up of both vampire novels and the rage for all things Jane Austen-ish.

    KWMR listeners in Bolinas and Stinson Beach now have a new home on the dial at 89.9 fm. This is good news - the change has brought  improved reception to the two communities and to the Highway One corridor between Dogtown and Steep Ravine.

In the Point Reyes area, the frequency remains the same at 90.5 fm, and listeners can still hear the live stream 24 hours a day right here on the KWMR website (click the flashing cow up top)
