Friday, October 21 – Fire Used For Endangered Plant posted Oct 21 at 6AM
Researchers Try Burning Test Plots of Showy Indian Clover Rare plant ecologist Diana Immel and Pt. Reyes National Seashore fire ecologist Alison Forrestel tell George Clyde why they are setting fire to the test plots of the endangered plant, which was last reported growing in the Park area about 100 years ago. The ultimate objective of the research at the Historic D Ranch is to reintroduce a sustainable population in the Park. More information here.
