A Crowd of 70 at SGV Community Center Hear County and Bay Area Air Quality Management District Discuss Wood Smoke Problems that Afflict the San Geronimo Valley. BAAQMD head of enforcement Brian Bateman tells about proposed increases in fines and possible incentives for upgrading stoves, and experts tell of health consequences from the smoke. Some wood burners want exemptions confirmed; but with hundreds of complaints and only the Papermill Creek Saloon and Two Bird Café cited, clean air advocates want stricter rules.
