Researchers from the Marine Invasions Laboratory of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Centre Brave the Elements in Tomales Bay to Study Non-Native "Sea Snot" and More. A shivering Dr. Gail Ashton tells George Clyde about why she and Dr. Andy Chang are placing collector panels in Tomales Bay to research the marine "fouling communities" and how invasive species spread along the California coast.
