Musical Varieté

Musical Varieté engages all styles of music except Classical; the show often focuses on artists whose birthdays are near the date of the show-interviews have included Maria Muldar, John Hammond, Emilio Castillo of Tower of Power Horns, Bassist Dave Holland, Laurie Lewis, Lester Chambers and others. Musical Varieté also enjoys promoting excellent independent artists such as Doug Adamz, Joyce Kauffman, Harmony Grisman and Ethan Kenning. The show has been on weekly since the station's inception 16 years ago. Charlie Morgan also focuses on honoring the champions of labor and equality in general.
